JOB SPECIFICATIONS
(a) Chef:- They would be required to prepare food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products) and accounting of ration. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
(b) Steward:- They would be required to serve food in the officers‟ messes, as waiters, housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of menu etc. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
(c) Hygienist:- They will be required to clean washroom, shower spaces and other areas. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
INDIAN NAVY MR PAY SCALE & ALLOWANCES
During The Initial Training Period, A Stipend Of Rs. 14,600/- Per Month Will Be Admissible. On Successful Completion Of Initial Training, They Will Be Placed In Level 3 Of The Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 21,700- ₹69,100). In Addition, They Will Be Paid MSP @ ₹ 5200/- Per Month Plus DA (As Applicable).
NAVY MR SELECTION PROCEDURE
The candidates will be chosen based on a Shortlisting , written test (CBT) and a physical fitness test (PFT). The examination will be multilingual (Hindi and English). All applicants who are taking the written test must also take the PFT on the same day.
Indian Navy MR Written Exam
• The question paper will be objective type and multilingual (Hindi and English).
• There will be two components to the question paper: Science and Mathematics and General Knowledge.
• The examination will last 30 minutes.
• On the same day as the written test, all applicants would be subjected to a physical examination
Indian Navy MR Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
• Physical Fitness Test (PFT) qualification is required for selection.
• The PFT will include a 1.6-kilometre run in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak), and 10 push-ups. Candidates that take the PFT do so at their own risk.
• The Indian Navy MR merit list will be compiled based on the written examination results, subject to passing the qualifying Physical Fitness Test (PFT). Based on state-wise merit, about 300 applicants will be granted call-up letters for the Enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka.
